Position Summary

The Orthopedic Surgeon provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and surgical and non-surgical treatment of patients with musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and disorders. The surgeon will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care, ensuring optimal outcomes and adherence to the highest medical and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with conditions involving bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves.
  • Perform surgical procedures including fracture repair, joint replacement, arthroscopy, sports injury repair, and other orthopedic surgeries as indicated.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and recovery.
  • Collaborate with other physicians, physical therapists, and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and rehabilitation.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging and laboratory results relevant to orthopedic conditions.
  • Participate in hospital rounds, outpatient clinics, and on-call coverage as assigned.
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical records and documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to quality improvement, peer review, and clinical research initiatives when applicable.
  • Educate patients and families on orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
  • Adhere to all institutional policies, ethical guidelines, and professional standards of care.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
  • Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities.
