Organizational Development Specialist- Leader Experience

Full Time, 80 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift

 

Position Summary:

The Organizational Development Specialist – Leader Experience is responsible for designing, leading, and continuously improving programs across the Covenant Health enterprise that enhance the overall leader experience while ensuring successful adoption of complex change initiatives.  This role leverages organizational development practices, change management methodologies, industry insights, and data-driven decision-making to identify leadership needs, develop talent pipelines, and create learning experiences that enhance employee engagement, performance, and succession readiness.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional organizational development initiatives that foster a culture of ownership, urgency, innovation and safety.
  • Develop and execute enterprise leadership development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Establish project plans, governance structures, communication strategies, and success metrics.
  • Assess leadership capability gaps and recommend targeted development solutions.
  • Design leadership frameworks, competencies, and career development pathways.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of leadership development programs, including planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage external vendors, consultants, and learning partners as needed.
  • Develop program communications, learning materials, and participant resources.
  • Support talent assessment, employee development planning, and leadership readiness initiatives.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness efforts that improve team performance, collaboration, and change adoption.
  • Lead structured change management initiatives, measure adoption of change initiatives and identify barriers to change and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Develop communication strategies to support change adoption across diverse healthcare audiences.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Education:          

Bachelor’s degree required in Business and Health care or related discipline.

 

Minimum Experience:         

3–5+ years of experience in organizational development or change management. Experience supporting clinical teams or healthcare leadership. Knowledge of healthcare regulations (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS standards).

 

Licensure Requirement:      

Employee must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license and state mandated minimum insurance coverage. Driving record must meet Covenant Health minimum standards at the date of hire and throughout employment tenure.
