Order Entry Manager - LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY

On-Site | Central Islip, NY | Full-Time | Salary: $75,000 to $95,000 per year

Strengthen order operations from the center of the business.

Ready to lead the team that keeps every order moving? Quality Enclosures is looking for a hands-on Order Entry Manager to take charge of our centralized quote and order entry function, a high-impact role where your leadership sets the pace for the entire business. You'll build and develop a strong team, set priorities, and put the operating discipline in place that turns busy days into consistent, on-time execution.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, improving workflows, and using metrics to turn operational challenges into measurable results. You will partner closely with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Production, Engineering, and other teams to remove bottlenecks and improve the flow of work across the organization.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop the team. Set clear expectations, assign priorities, provide training and coaching, address performance concerns, and serve as the escalation point for complex issues.
  • Manage the centralized order queue.
  • Drive quality and accountability.
  • Measure and improve performance. Use KPIs and scoreboards, including accuracy, throughput, efficiency, turnaround time, and on-time release, to identify trends and strengthen results.
  • Improve and standardize processes. Address the root causes of errors, rework, and delays while developing SOPs, training materials, and scalable best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination. Partner with Inside Sales, Customer Success, Production, Engineering, and other teams to resolve issues and ensure customer and sales requirements are executed effectively.
  • Stay close to the operation. Provide hands-on order-processing and operational support when business needs require it

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Four to six years of experience in order entry, operations, customer service, manufacturing support, or a related environment.
  • At least three years of experience supervising or leading a team, including coaching employees and addressing performance concerns.
  • Demonstrated success establishing and monitoring KPIs, scoreboards, or other performance measures to improve accountability and results.
  • Experience with ERP systems and order-processing workflows.
  • Strong organization, communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to remain accurate, responsive, and composed in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, custom products, or another production-connected order environment.
  • Experience creating SOPs, training resources, or process improvements for a growing operation.

What We Offer

  • A manager-level role with visibility and partnership across multiple departments.
  • The opportunity to shape processes, develop a team, and improve operational performance.
  • A collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Competitive compensation.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k), paid time off, and career growth opportunities.
