Overview

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking an Oracle Solutions Architect 4 to support a major national laboratory. This is hybrid to Los Alamos, NM and you must be willing to work onsite when needed in Los Alamos, NM.

 

The Oracle Solutions Architect serves as a principal of large and complex hardware, software, database, networking, and/or telecommunication solutions. Determines Laboratory-wide requirements and incorporates these requirements into solutions that may be commercial-off-the-shelf (Oracle P6, PIF, WebLogic) or internally developed software and hardware. May be responsible for project management in implementing complex solutions. May be responsible for oversight of project documentation, marketing, training, budget, schedules, resource utilization, and benefits realization on complex solutions projects.

 

Responsibilities
  • Safety and security are a primary responsibility for all Laboratory employees. Assures safety and security compliance, maintains required safety and security training, and makes safety and security an integral part of every task, including taking the necessary steps to stop work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security.
  • Adheres to policies, programs, procedures and practices.
  • Researches, assembles, and/or evaluates information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes affecting telecommunication, data management, security, networking, hardware, software development and systems programming policies or programs; recommends sound, practical solutions to complex issues.
  • Leads complex projects that require in-depth analysis, gathering of customer requirements, and cross-discipline solution sets.
  • Researches solutions for complex problems that span multiple disciplines, including hardware, software development, systems programming, data management, security, networking, telecommunications, or related disciplines.
  • Provides technical leadership and architectural direction for complex systems.
  • Integrates strategic thinking in the formulation of solutions and capabilities to ensure that long-term business objectives and impact are factored into the design process.
  • Formally manages projects from inception through implementation, including project management, documentation, and training of users, system administrators, or others who may maintain or use the end products.
  • Fosters a mutually respectful and inclusive work environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicable.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.
  • Expert knowledge and demonstrated application of current and future network, data management, security, hardware, software development, and systems programming technologies, how they interoperate, how to architect complex solutions, and enterprise web application delivery.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated team-building experience with technologists.
  • Expert knowledge in SQL Server and Oracle RDBMS implementation, administration, maintenance, and end-user support.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle WebLogic for web applications.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Primavera Portfolio Management.
  • Expert level knowledge of Oracle Project Integration Framework (PIF)
  • Experience maintaining environments for integration of project controls skills: estimating, schedules, and costs.
