Job Summary
The Oracle DB Developer will design, develop, implement, and maintain complex database applications using Oracle and PL/SQL. The role requires experience with Informatica for extracting and integrating data from multiple sources, along with strong SQL and PL/SQL development, troubleshooting, and query performance tuning skills. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, follow established development and source control practices, and deliver unit test cases while ensuring database solutions align with data management standards and application requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement complex database applications using Oracle and PL/SQL.
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL code, SQL queries, and shell scripts.
• Use Informatica to extract and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize queries, scripts, and database performance.
• Contribute to application development across the application stack while following established team practices.
• Apply proper source code control practices and deliver unit test cases.
• Conduct logical and physical database design.
• Design database keys, indexing schemes, and partitioning strategies.
• Construct and implement operational data stores.
• Ensure data models remain consistent with the broader data ecosystem.
• Follow data management standards and advise on database development best practices.
• Participate in building and testing business continuity and disaster recovery procedures in accordance with requirements.
• Apply knowledge of relational database internals, including query processing and query planning.
• Work with large-scale data and ensure adherence to applicable audit standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data-driven business needs and how data supports the application platform.
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of Oracle database development experience.
• Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL development, excluding work focused solely on financials or reporting.
• Experience using Informatica to extract and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Experience analyzing and tuning the performance of queries and scripts.
• Development and troubleshooting skills using SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripts.
• Knowledge of relational database management systems, including Oracle.
• Understanding of data modeling, data structures, and their benefits and limitations across different use cases.
• Knowledge of key data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with ETL tools and programming or scripting languages, such as Informatica and Python.
• Experience adhering to strict audit standards.
Preferred Qualifications
• 2-3 years of Informatica development experience.
• Experience with relational database internals, query processing, and query planning, or other data processing infrastructure.
• Experience working with data at scale.
• Experience with data analysis and data science, including the ability to understand business needs driven by data and how they align with the application platform.
