Valley Health Systems is seeking a dedicated
Optometrist who is passionate about improving the vision and eye health of patients throughout our region. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we proudly serve individuals and families across southern West Virginia, eastern Kentucky, and southeastern Ohio, ensuring access to high-quality, compassionate, and affordable healthcare.

- Epic EMR system utilized throughout the organization.
Compensation & Benefits- Competitive salary of $140,000 to $150,000 per annum with incentive opportunity available.
- Sign-on bonus of $10,000 available.

What You'll Do- Provide comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose, manage, and treat a variety of ocular conditions and visual disorders.
- Prescribe corrective lenses and other vision-related treatments.
- Identify and manage eye diseases, referring patients for specialty care or surgical intervention when appropriate.
- Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and the relationship between vision and overall health.
- Collaborate with Valley Health's multidisciplinary care teams to support coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate documentation within our Epic EMR system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and access to vision care.
Qualifications- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
- Current West Virginia optometry license or eligibility for licensure in West Virginia.
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and interpersonal skills.
