Eye Specialists of Mid-Florida is seeking a full-time Board Certified Optometric Physician to join its growing private practice in Central Florida. What you'll do:
As a Board-Certified Optometric Physician, you’ll provide high-quality primary eye and vision care in an outpatient setting, including comprehensive exams, corrective lens prescriptions, prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. Utilizing your license to its fullest extent as you see it to treat ocular disease. In this full-time, 40-hour-per-week role, you’ll support total patient care while working with an expanding portfolio of leading-edge technology, including a Topcon slit lamp, Topcon autorefractor, Topcon NCT CT-80, Zeiss OCT Cirrus 5000, Kowa Nonmyd camera, and Haag-Streit Octopus 600 visual field equipment. You’ll also participate in clinical and business meetings, community education, and practice events, share responsibility for training technicians to strengthen clinical knowledge and improve patient flow, and collaborate with office leadership through monthly meetings and bi-weekly business reviews. The practice sees 400+ patients daily across the organization, creating a dynamic environment where strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care are essential. Our ODs are provided with a team support approach. This allows them to properly care for 28-40 patients per day.
Who you are:
You’re a passionate, patient-centered optometrist with a Doctor of Optometry degree from an ACOE-accredited school and an active, unrestricted Florida optometric license. You bring kindness, empathy, and patience to every interaction, along with excellent patient care skills and the confidence to support patients across diverse visual needs and age groups. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with opticians, technicians, administrative staff, and practice leadership to deliver seamless care, strengthen team culture, and support the continued growth and reputation of the practice.
