Full Job Description
The role. We're hiring a Product Manager to own the software operators use to receive, plan, cut, track, and ship metal. You will work on the factory floor, understand how work and information move, and turn those observations into systems people can trust under real production pressure.
The best solution is not always another screen. You will simplify workflows, remove failure points, and work across software and operations to improve the entire process.
You will:
Own the roadmap for inventory, planning, production, quality, and shipping workflows
Observe operators directly and map how work actually happens
Define requirements, exceptions, and success metrics with engineering and operations
Prioritize improvements based on safety, reliability, throughput, and delivery impact
Design workflows that remain clear during unusual or high-pressure situations
Lead product delivery from discovery through rollout and adoption
Measure system usage and operational performance after launch
Maintain clear documentation and decision history
Coordinate changes across software, training, process, and equipment
Build trust with users by responding quickly when systems fail
You are:
Drawn to operational complexity and practical problem-solving
Comfortable spending substantial time on a factory floor
Skilled at separating root causes from symptoms
Precise about states, exceptions, ownership, and data integrity
Able to communicate with both operators and software engineers
Focused on adoption and outcomes, not feature volume
Calm, organized, and decisive when priorities compete
Respectful of frontline expertise
Nice to have:
Experience with manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, ERP, or logistics systems
Experience launching software into physical operations
Technical fluency with integrations, databases, and event-driven workflows
Familiarity with Lean operations or continuous improvement
Benefits:
Equity in Nox Metals
Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance
This role is full time, in person in either Los Angeles or Detroit, Michigan.
