Operations Manager - Onsite Percentage of travel expected: 10%
Hopkinsville, KY USA The Job: As a
Operations Manager, you'll be part of our Leadership team working as an onsite employee. You'll get to:
- Responsible for daily management and leadership of all resources assigned. Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to: Schedule adherence, productivity, personnel development, time and attendance, training and establishing/monitoring departmental goals.
- Creates a departmental cross training matrix and mentors assigned personnel. Deploys team members to both strategically and tactically engage in cross functional problem solving to improve production efficiency and product quality.
- Ensures the organization accomplishes Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost performance objectives. When misses occur, develop a credible recovery plan with the team.
- Review daily demand, production capacity and constraints, optimize production schedules, and manage the workflow through shop. Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and other reporting on daily basis to drive performance in all assigned areas.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing activities based on policies, company objectives and programs spanning multiple manufacturing functions.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain for procurement or required tools and MRO, and planning delivery schedules to meet delivery schedules, quality standards while reducing overall lead time and cost.
- Coordinate with Engineering and Quality Control to determine cause of rejected products and to resolve discrepancies in manufacture process.
- Ensure safe and healthy working conditions and instituting measures to reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards and compliance with company safety rules and OSHA regulations. Maintains good departmental safety consistent with the site goals and objectives. Maintains continuing emphasis on good housekeeping.
- Organizes and proactively manage their team to ensure meeting production and delivery expectations while maximizing available labor, skills, knowledge, experience and capabilities. Continued focus upon team cross training and skill diversity.
- Develop and drive cost savings utilizing continuous improvement & lean methodologies. Apply through areas assigned by learning, applying, and teaching. Ensure team member compliance with all operations procedures and documented processes and address non-conformities.

Required:- B.S. Degree Engineering, manufacturing, business or related field required.
- 5+ years direct experience in operations manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years Leadership and management experience.
- Financial acumen, including managing budgets, overtime, incentives, and benefits.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and oversee multiple processes
- Experience with vendor management, compliance and audit processes
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities for working with multiple departments, various organizational levels, and external parties
- Strong Computer knowledge and abilities (JDE, SAP, Microsoft Office)

The Salary range for this position is $95,600.00 - $153,900.00
