Full Job Description

The Role

This is a dual leadership role. You'll own operations from tender to delivery, and you'll recruit, hire, and train our new sales associates. You'll report directly to Executive Team and have real authority to shape how we cover freight, how we service customers, and how new reps are developed.

Operations Responsibilities

•Oversee dispatch, load coverage, and track & trace so every load moves on time and on temperature

•Enforce check call standards, including regular updates on every driver at pickup and delivery

•Manage exceptions and service failures (late pickups, temperature issues, claims, rejections) and communicate with customers before they have to ask

•Oversee carrier onboarding, compliance, and vetting, and enforce our broker-carrier agreement, including back-solicitation and direct customer contact rules

•Monitor operational KPIs such as on-time pickup and delivery, coverage time, margin per load, and exception rates, and report results to leadership

•Improve our SOPs, workflows, and use of our TMS, load boards, and customer tendering portals

•Lead, coach, and hold accountable the operations and dispatch team

Sales Hiring & Training Responsibilities

•Recruit, interview, and hire new sales associates

•Build and run a structured onboarding program covering prospecting, quoting, freight fundamentals, reefer and produce, carrier sourcing, and our systems

•Coach reps on cold calling, discovery, rate negotiation, and closing shipper business

•Set and track rep KPIs, including outbound calls, prospect touches, pipeline movement, new customers, and margin

•Hold regular one-on-ones with associates covering growth, KPIs, AR, and work ethic

•Identify struggling reps early and put development plans in place
