Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Monitor operational performance and foster ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement to achieve business objectives and support long-term success.
  • Create an environment where team members are empowered to identify opportunities, solve problems, and contribute to operational improvements.


People Leadership & Development
  • Lead, coach, develop, and evaluate Operations Supervisors to build a high-performing workforce.
  • Develop staffing, training, and retention plans to support operational requirements and team member growth.
  • Foster a culture of caring, transparency, engagement, collaboration, accountability, and mutual respect where all team members feel valued and supported.
  • Mentor and develop future leaders by providing coaching, growth opportunities, succession planning, and meaningful feedback.
  • Promote an inclusive work environment that encourages diverse perspectives, innovation, and employee involvement in decision-making.


Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote safe work practices and maintain a culture that prioritizes employee well-being, psychological safety, and shared responsibility for workplace safety.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes consistently meet quality standards and customer expectations while fostering pride in workmanship and a commitment to excellence.


Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation initiatives, including Lean principles, 5S, and waste reduction efforts.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve operational performance, prevent recurrence, and promote organizational learning.
  • Drive sustainable improvements in productivity, efficiency, and overall manufacturing capability.


Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships based on trust, collaboration, and shared goals to achieve plant objectives and support organizational success.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives that support business growth, innovation, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
  • Manage labor, material, and controllable costs to support budget and profitability goals.


General Responsibilities
  • Undertake continuous professional development to strengthen leadership and operational capabilities.
  • Perform all other duties and special projects assigned.


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including responsibility for production, safety, quality, and team development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to developing people, fostering employee engagement, and creating an inclusive and respectful workplace culture.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, inspire teams, and build trust while achieving operational results.
  • Experience promoting a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, quality, and employee empowerment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational performance through problem solving, decision making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing business systems.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while achieving business objectives.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Green Belt certification; Black Belt preferred.
  • Experience commissioning new equipment and supporting startup activities in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with outside vendors, system integrators, and equipment OEMs.
  • Ability to document controls standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule when necessary; including potential for nights and weekends.


Other Job Responsibilities and Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. unassisted with or without reasonable accommodation.
    • Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull materials weighing more than 45 lbs. using team lifting procedures.
    • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods (8-12 hours per shift).
    • Ability to safely move throughout the manufacturing floor.
    • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and/or ladders as required for job tasks.
    • Ability to use hands, wrists, and fingers for handling materials, writing, and computer work.
    • Frequent use of computers, keyboards, tablets, scanners, or handheld devices.
    • Ability to work in a loud, fast-paced industrial environment.
    • Ability to work in hot and cold environmental conditions.
