The Basics- Bachelor of Science degree in a field related to engineering, computer science, or data science
- Proficiency in computer programming
- Experience working in a production environment
The Extras- Experience working in the metals industry
- Experience working in level 2 process automation (according to the Purdue Model)
- Experience in software development, especially .NET framework and C-family languages
- Experience working with SQL databases such as Oracle SQL
- Experience working with human machine interfaces (HMI's) such as WinCC

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING- Maintaining, improving, and developing level 2 automation systems for the ArcelorMittal Calvert hot strip mill
- Developing software solutions using a range of programming languages including FORTRAN, C++, and C#
- Maintaining databases that record critical process data
- Conducting incident investigations using specialized tools such as IBA
- Conducting statistical analysis to tune physical models and improve system performance
- Maintaining digital tools including human machine interfaces (HMI's) and shop-floor camera systems

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT- Office, Construction, and Industrial setting
- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
