Full Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Ensure all required documentation is received from contractors in accordance with contract requirements and project specifications;
  • Prepare and maintain project status and progress reports, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders;
  • Coordinate and track project plans, drawings, and revisions;
  • Verify that Change Order and Time & Material work is properly documented in Daily Inspector's Reports;
  • Prepare and/or review change orders for accuracy, completeness, and contract compliance;
  • Attend construction progress meetings and prepares meeting minutes and monthly reports as required;
  • Support oversight of sub-consultant teams through strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Assist the Resident Engineer in monitoring construction schedules and identifying potential delays;
  • Support project close-out efforts, including preparation of As-Built drawings, final documentation, and resolution of outstanding claims or issues;
  • Perform other related duties as required to support successful project delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology or an acceptable field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive construction experience; experience as an Office Engineer on infrastructure projects preferred;
  • Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction
  • Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills;
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera, or related construction software;
  • Requires a valid, clean driver's license and personal vehicle to travel to and within project sites as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the essential functions of this position, it is frequently necessary to:
  • Assume a stationary position;
  • Handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job;
  • Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients using Company email and telephone systems;
  • Occasionally move around on the job-site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning oneself appropriately to access necessary testing materials and equipment, usually for prolonged periods of time,
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. for some types of monitoring and inspections occasionally as needed,
  • Good visual skills, including focused depth perception for performing inspections, and
  • Occasional daily operation of a motor-vehicle or use of public transportation, which may require remaining stationary for extended periods of time.

Employees may also be required to undergo substance abuse testing in accordance with project requirements, US DOT Regulations, and/or Company policy. The employee may occasionally be required to operate a computer, as well as other related office machinery, such as calculators, printers, and copy machines. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
