OverviewCentraState Medical Center currently has an employment opportunity available for an
Occupational Therapist. This position provides occupational therapy services to outpatients, helping individuals regain physical or mental function and adjust to physical limitations or handicaps.
Responsibilities- Effectively evaluates the patient's performance in areas of daily living, recreation, education and social activities.
- Develops appropriate therapeutic plan based on patient assessment and physician's orders.
- Observes patient/resident progress and updates plan as indicated.
- Provides occupational therapy treatment including splinting and ADL training.
- Coordinates care plan with other healthcare providers.
- Provides education to the patient/family regarding the disease processes and planned treatment/intervention. Provides instruction in the areas of health promotion, activity and medication as appropriate.
- Teaches patients functional prevocational and homemaking skills and activities of daily living to help them regain physical or mental functioning or adjust to their handicaps.
- Evaluates the patient's progress, goal attainment and need for further services following discharge.
- Documents results of diagnostic evaluations, care plan and Resident progress in medical record.
- Maintains productivity within guidelines set by department.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
- Current NJ License in Occupational Therapy required.
- Strong customer service skills.

Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,600 annually
The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.
Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.
