The Obstructive Sleep Apnea Clinical Manager is responsible for the overall management of Field Clinical Specialists, including the recruiting, hiring, training and development of all personnel. This is a working manager role that includes direct site management, customer education and assistance with day-to-day clinical demands. This position is responsible for monitoring and driving patient outcomes including titration/programming support, scheduling, and overall clinical outcomes. This position requires close collaboration with company stakeholders to ensure outstanding field support at clinical sites.
General Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Clinical Specialists (FCS), ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality clinical education and support.
- Establish clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and support career growth aligned with organizational needs.
- Foster a culture of patient safety, accountability, and continuous learning across the team.
- Ensure field readiness through onboarding, ongoing training, and credentialing of FCS team members.
- Management of scheduling to ensure proper coverage of titration/programming visits
- Partner with sales team to ensure patient journey is supported and optimized
Clinical Excellence & Field Execution
- Oversee the delivery of clinical training and technical support provided to healthcare professionals and patients, ensuring consistency and adherence to approved materials and Instructions for Use (IFU).
- Monitor and drive excellence in field execution, including therapy training, device programming support, and patient education.
- Identify trends in field performance and implement improvements to enhance clinical outcomes and customer experience.
Compliance, Quality & Risk Management
- Ensure team adherence to all regulatory, legal, and company compliance requirements, including proper documentation, adverse event reporting, and device safety protocols.
- Reinforce clear boundaries between technical support and clinical decision-making in all field activities.
- Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to address field issues and drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Strategy
- Act as the primary liaison between the FCS team and cross-functional partners, including Sales, Marketing, Clinical, Engineering, Quality, and Legal.
- Translate field insights into actionable feedback to inform product development, training programs, and clinical strategies.
- Support clinical trials and product launches through coordinated field execution and training alignment.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clinical stakeholders, including physicians, surgeons, and sleep lab personnel, reinforcing LivaNova’s reputation for clinical expertise and partnership.
- Support strategic accounts by elevating complex clinical situations and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
- Providing clinical and technical support during overnight polysomnography tests (PSGs), as needed
- Providing of troubleshooting and technical support to clinical sites
Operational Effectiveness & Planning
- Manage team deployment, territory coverage, and resource allocation to optimize support across regions.
- Track and analyze field activity metrics, training effectiveness, and team performance to drive data-informed decisions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of field activities and business insights.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required, ideally in nursing, STEM, life sciences, sleep medicine or equivalent.
Additional Skills and Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years working with patients in a clinical setting, with 3 years in a management role
- Experience in neuromodulation, bio-engineering, nursing, or sleep medicine
- Preferred – RPGST certification
- Ability to manage and develop a high-performance field-based team
- Empathy and understanding of the field sales force
- High degree of job ownership and business sense of urgency
- Project management skills
- Works well within teams both cross-functionally and teams that may or may be not located
within a specific building or geography - Demonstrated leadership ability, analytical thinking and problem resolution skills
- Strong expertise in Microsoft computer software applications
- Ability to meet medical facility credentialing requirements

Pay Transparency
- A reasonable estimate of the annual base salary for this position is $120,000-140,000 plus discretionary annual bonus. Pay ranges may vary by location.
