OBAT Program Manager - RWJBarnabas HealthAt RWJBarnabas Health, the Program Manager for Telehealth Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) provides overall leadership, coordination, and performance oversight for a fully telehealth-based addiction treatment program. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for individuals with opioid use disorder while supporting clinical and administrative operations, regulatory compliance, program growth, quality improvement, and patient engagement. The Program Manager works collaboratively with internal and external partners to create a seamless virtual care experience for patients and providers.
A typical day for an OBAT Program Manager may include:- Leading the day-to-day operations of the telehealth OBAT program
- Developing and implementing workflows to optimize virtual care delivery
- Monitoring program performance metrics, including access, retention, and outcomes
- Ensuring collaboration with internal and external behavioral health and psychosocial services
- Overseeing telehealth platforms and workflows to support a seamless patient and provider experience
- Collaborating with IT and operations teams to troubleshoot and improve systems
- Ensuring compliance with HIPAA and applicable data security standards
- Supporting the System Director with daily onboarding operations for new providers and navigators in collaboration with Human Resources, Payer Enrollment, Credentialing, and other stakeholders
- Leading budget-related initiatives, financial tracking, proforma development, and operational analyses to support program development, sustainability, and strategic growth
- Supporting departmental administrative operations, including meeting coordination, calendar management, scheduling logistics, agenda preparation, and event organization
- Partnering with Human Resources and operational leadership to support payroll-related processes and workforce scheduling oversight
- Supporting operational initiatives that enhance OBAT services and overall program performance
- Participating in special project teams and performing other duties as assigned or directed by management

- A Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, nursing, social work, or a related field is required
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare program management is required
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or MOUD programs is required
- A Master's degree (MPH, MHA, MSW, MBA, or related field) is preferred
- Experience managing telehealth or virtual care programs is preferred
- Familiarity with OBAT models and harm reduction approaches is preferred
- Clinical licensure (e.g., RN, LCSW, LPC) is a plus but not required
