Full Job Description
Position Summary: The Nursing Administrative Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of and support to all patient care teams and ancillary departments, especially in the absence of a unit leader. Partners with the patient placement team, provides coordination of care, unit leadership for staffing of departments, crisis management resolution, and responds to physician and patient/family needs. Ensures regulatory readiness and best practice standards are met. Is responsible for establishing and managing an ongoing relationship with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate a timely, integrated, and coordinated approach to care. Escalates chain of command as appropriate. The position models the Rush Copley Medical Center mission, vision and values, the iCare Model, and acts in accordance with Rush Copley Medical Center and nursing policies and procedure.
Position Requirements:
Licensure: Must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of IL.
Education: Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher required. Graduate degree preferred.
Certifications: CPR Required, ACLS
Special Skills: Communication, organization, customer and physician relations
Experience: 5 years nursing experience, leadership experience preferred
