Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Urology team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals with acute and chronic urologic conditions while collaborating closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities

- Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage a variety of urologic conditions under established clinical protocols.
- Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice, including catheter management, bladder scans, and other urologic procedures as appropriate.
- Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive care.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with New York State regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain current knowledge of evidence-based urologic practices.
Qualifications

- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP), or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
- DEA registration and New York State prescriptive authority.
- BLS certification required.
- Prior Urology experience preferred; candidates with strong experience in surgical, primary care, internal medicine, or specialty practice may also be considered.
- Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic medical records (eCW preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing BPH, urinary incontinence, kidney stones, hematuria, urinary tract infections, elevated PSA, erectile dysfunction, and other common urologic conditions.
- Familiarity with cystoscopy assistance, urodynamics, catheterization, and post-operative management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume outpatient environment.
Salary: $135,000-$150,000
(May include bonuses and incentives)
