Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Orthopedic surgeons to provide direct patient care
  • Coordinate delivery of care for patients and families during hospitalization
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients through regular and crisis intervention
  • Complete Admissions and Discharges for the Orthopedic service
  • Conduct Inpatient Consultations and address floor calls
  • Perform procedural duties including fracture and dislocation management
  • Manage aspiration, injections, and wound care

Full Job Description
Pay: $55.00 - $69.00 / Hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm

Responsibilities:

The Nurse Practitioner will practice in collaboration with Orthopedic surgeons as direct healthcare providers. Responsibilities include working with patients and families to coordinate the delivery of care throughout the hospitalization. This is done by assessing, diagnosing, treating, educating and consulting through regular and/or crisis intervention. The Orthopedic NP is responsible for completing Admissions, Discharges, Inpatient Consultations and addressing floor calls for the Orthopedic service. Procedural duties include, but are not limited to: fracture and dislocation management, aspiration and injections and wound care management

Job Requirements:
  • Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse.

  • Minimum of two (2) years RN experience in critical care nursing.
  • Master of Science Degree in Nursing or its direct equivalent, preferred.
