Job Summary:

CommunityCare Express is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for ExpressCare Mt Pleasant, Scranton and ExpressCare Kistler, Wilkes Barre urgent care clinics.

Job Duties:

The experienced advanced practitioner must be able to treat patients of all ages and will work at both CommunityCare Express Mt Pleasant, Scranton and CommunityCare Express Kistler, Wilkes-Barre clinics.

These clinics qualify for the *National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program which is up to $75,000 for a two-year service commitment.

CommunityCare, affiliated with Geisinger, offers Express urgent care clinicians who diagnose and treat common medical problems including sore throats, earaches, sinus infections, flu, urinary tract infections and more. They also provide routine health exams, immunizations, screenings and wellness services. Some clinics may also include X-ray, EKG, IV hydration, and phlebotomy.

 Advanced Practitioners receive the following benefits:

  • $10,000 Recruitment Forgivable Loan - a two-year work commitment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced Practitioners must be able to treat patients from age one to adults.

  • Six months of primary care, emergency medicine, urgent care or critical care of professional practitioner experience is required.

Work Schedule:

Rotations of weekends and some holidays required (Work 7 out of 14 days)​

Take responsibility and ownership of their site. Possess strong interpersonal skills. Be self-motivated. Have excellent prioritizing and multi-tasking abilities Have urgent care experience and the ability perform procedures such as suturing and splinting.
