  • Respond to trauma activations and perform admissions and consults for the trauma and general surgery team
  • Serve as first call for ER consults, activations, and nursing questions
  • Perform bedside procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, and laceration repair
  • Manage a variety of patient care levels including ICU, step down, and general floor patients
  • Primarily provide inpatient care with occasional clinic duties

Summary

MyMichigan Health has an excellent opportunity for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the growing Trauma and General Surgery Team in Saginaw, Michigan!
  • Full time, day shift
  • 7 days on, 7 days off

Responsibilities

  • Respond to trauma activations and perform admissions and consults for the trauma and general surgery team, as well as interpretation/treatment of testing and daily rounding
  • First call for ER consults, activations and nursing questions
  • Bedside procedures including chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, laceration repair
  • Variety of patient care, including ICU management, step down and general floor level patients
  • Mostly inpatient, with occasional clinic.

Certifications and Licensures

  • AHA approved BLS Certification
  • AHA approved ACLS Certification
  • ATLS Certification required prior to completion of orientation

Required Education

  • Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
  • One year of experience with surgical specialties preferred, new grads will be considered
