Full Job Description
Position: Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant
Reports to: Clinic Manager, Regional Manager and Director of Operations
Position Overview:

The Physician Assistant/ Nurse Practitioner works under the direct supervision of the clinic physician according to the medical protocol set forth by Medi-Weightloss Clinics®. Under general direction, provides patient care; conducts physical exams; completes health history summary; documents patients' progress; assists with patient care management. The environment is fast-paced and the position is multifaceted.
Essential Job Functions and Clinical Duties:
  • Ensures that each patient receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every patient, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product & program knowledge & all other aspects of customer service.
  • Obtains and reviews patients medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care.
  • Conducts physical examinations.
  • Orders and reviews laboratory studies as well as diagnostic procedures; including ECGs.
  • Assumes responsibility for prescribing and dispensing FDA approved appetite suppressants and GLP-1 medication according to state and federal guidelines.
  • Reviews patients progress and manages patient care accordingly.
  • Maintains all required documentation for patient care and medication management.
  • Facilitates referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary and will communicate with collaborating physicians and/or specialists regarding patient care.
Non Essential Job Functions:
  • Provides training to clinical and non-clinical staff as needed.
  • Conducts consultations with patients regarding the Medi-Weightloss Clinics® program.
  • Conducts follow up calls to patients to discuss the patient's progress and address any concerns.
  • Provides ongoing support to promote clinic profitability and success.
  • Maintains up to date, high level of program education in order to promote & explain benefits of program & products to current & prospective patients.
  • Participates in refresher training as requested by management.
  • Adheres to all operational guidelines including but not limited to: HIPAA, OSHA & location specific requirements.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Business Hours: Monday: CLOSED; Tuesday 11am-7pm; Wendesday 6:30am-1pm; Thursday 11am-7pm, Friday 6:30am-1pm; Saturday 7am-1pm

Compensation: Competitive hourly; based on experience
