Job Overview

The Infusion Nurse Practitioner provides specialized IV therapy treatment to patients in ambulatory settings such as clinics, home care, and ambulatory infusion centers. This role prepares, verifies, and administers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive oncology and infusion medications in accordance with provider orders and institutional protocols. This role maintains clinical practice standards and supports staff development. This role is integrated into services and operations with nursing standards of practice, service priorities, and performance/outcome measures, as well as with business, departmental, and organizational goals and objectives.

Minimum Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited Baccalaureate school of nursing is required.
  • Current and active licensure in the State of California is required.
  • National board certification (FNP, AGNP, Acute Care NP, or specialty-relevant) is required.
  • Training in the diagnosis and management of complex medical conditions, completed.
  • Current DEA registration is required.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Certification is required.
  • Maintaining competency or certification in oncology/chemotherapy administration (ONS/ONCC or equivalent).
  • A minimum requirement of a valid ACLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
  • Experience in infusion therapy, Emergency, ICU, oncology, or critical care settings preferred.
  • Previous experience with computer-based systems is required; Electronic Medical Records experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.


Compensation

$138,257.60 - $172,806.40 annually
