Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesAs our Hematology Oncology Advanced Practice Provider, you will join our collegial healthcare team in Silverdale at St. Michael Cancer Center. Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of patients and their families.
To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, possessing APP experience and communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered evidence based care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.
- Clinic based position
- Weekday Shifts withno weekends or holidays.
- 4 - 10 hour shifts
- Patient care includes treatment of oncology patients, acute/same day visits, long-term follow-up patients, and infusion room oversight.
- Approximately8-12 patients per shift
- Covering in-patient oncology patients would be an option if interested, when our dedicated inpatient ARNP is out for vacation/time off.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of our patients
- Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients with a wide variety of hematology and oncology diseases.
- Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
- Stay current with research and best practices in both Hematology and Oncology to provide evidence-based care
We are offering relocation assistance plus up to a $20,000 starting bonus for experienced Hem/Onc Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants.
Job Requirements
Required
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current Washington State ARNP or Physician Assistance license or have an active license prior to starting
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with physicians, and hospital staff, patients and their families
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Strong commitment to patient care team concept and privacy guidelines
Preferred
- 2+ years ARNP/P.A. experience following training
- Prior experience with EPIC
