DESCRIPTION

As a Nurse Practitioner Floater this position will be primarily based in our Metairie clinic while providing coverage and support at surrounding clinic locations as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys working collaboratively in a team-based environment and is comfortable practicing in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician.
  • Manage follow-up appointments and ongoing patient care.
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic testing and imaging as appropriate.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic medical record system.
  • Collaborate with chiropractic providers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
  • Travel to regional clinic locations to provide provider coverage and support as needed.

  • Previous experience in primary care, occupational medicine, musculoskeletal medicine, pain management, physical medicine, or an outpatient clinical setting is preferred but not required.
