Duties Description Kingsboro Psychiatric Center (KPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for their inpatient units located in Brooklyn, NY. The shift schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:30AM - 4:30PM.

As an FNP at KPC, you will provide patient-centered primary health care to individuals with mental illness 18 years of age or older; including:
• Conducting physical examinations; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests; diagnosing and treating medical conditions.
• Prescribing medications and treatments, monitoring impact, and modifying as needed.
• Maintaining medical records and documentation.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and disciplines to achieve treatment goals and objectives.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Nurse Practitioner Family Health if they have certification and current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in the Family Health specialty practice area by the New York State Education Department.

OR

Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Posted Salary is the sum the statutory job rate for PS&T Grade 24 ($120,439), a Geographic Differential ($40,000), and a Downstate Adjustment ($4,150).
