Minimum of 1 year of outpatient cardiology Nurse Practitioner experience
Board certification (ANCC or AANP)
Active DEA (or eligibility to obtain)
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease management
Excellent communication and clinical judgment skills
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including history, physical exams, and risk stratification
Manage and follow patients with cardiac conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and coronary artery disease
Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests like EKGs and echocardiograms
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiology physicians
Prescribe medications and adjust therapies based on evidence-based guidelines
Provide patient education on disease management and medication adherence
Document clinical encounters accurately in the electronic medical record
