Job Summary:
Uses current evidence-based knowledge and skills to make sound, professional physical assessment/examinations; treatment/plans of care; and dispositions (e.g., physiologic, psychological, socio-economic, cultural) of acute and chronically ill and injured patients. The nurse practitioner monitors and evaluates the plan of care, and makes revisions as needed, or initiates consultations/referrals when appropriate. The nurse practitioner provides patient care for pediatric through geriatric populations and practices in collaboration with the clinic provider.
Education:
Position requires a Master of Science in Nursing.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse Practitioner License in Maryland or a state that reciprocates with Maryland

Experience:
Position prefers 3-5 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
Other Requirements:
Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to provide effective clinical management and appropriate patient care under the scope of practice defined in state and national certification guidelines.
