Responsibilities
The Operating Room Nurse Manager is responsible for the coordination of patient care and patient flow in the Operating Room. He/she consults with staff, physicians, anesthesia members and other Periop Leaders as necessary to ensure patient needs are met and quality outcomes are achieved. The position will work under the direction of the Operating Room Director and plays an integral role in patient flow and clinical operations and will oversee all Performance Improvement and CQI activities and initiatives. The OR Nurse Manager will Maintain full oversight of the formulation and monitoring of plans for improvement of clinical services, patient satisfaction and employee engagement. The Operating Room Nurse Manager collaborates and problem solves with the Nursing Director, Administrator, physicians, Department Heads and house supervision to assure that patient care needs as related to other departments/disciplines are met.

The range for the role is $102,180- $127,725 (annual salary)

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York.
BSN from an accredited school of nursing required, currently licensed in the state of NY
Minimum Experience:
Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience including two years in area of specialization; one year in nursing leadership position preferred.
Strong ability to listen, operate at times with ambiguity and be adept at moving quickly to implement change at a rapid pace once decisions have been made
Demonstrate ability to partner and work collaboratively with key leaders and physicians within the organization
Required Certification/Registration:
Ongoing current RN registration.
BLS required at hire or transfer until ACLS obtained. BLS renewal not required once ACLS is obtained. PALS
CNOR preferred, otherwise required within 1 yr.
Physical Requirements:
Work requires extensive standing and walking.
