We are seeking a Nurse Educator who will function within the context of the framework for professional nursing practice, the Nurse Educator, in consultation and collaboration with nursing leadership and the Health Care Team will facilitate training, education and development by assessing, planning, developing, implementation, coordination and evaluation of projects and programs for staff, faculty, patient populations and the community. This is accomplished to ensure role competence, compliance with regulatory standards, and to meet organizational goals.

In addition to being one of the busiest Emergency Departments in Connecticut, our RNs treat patients with the highest acuity in the region, the Hartford Hospital ED is also a chest pain center and comprehensive stroke center. The department is comprised of 109 beds, with the addition of a 19-bed ED Observation Unit. The ED treats an average of 109,000 patients annually. Hartford Hospital is home to the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI), which is recognized as one of the most-advanced medical simulation training centers in the world. Qualifications:

Current Connecticut nursing license.
Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree required.
* One degree must be in Nursing. Demonstrated clinical competence in areas of assignment.
Minimum 3 years of appropriate recent experience in an acute care setting. AHA or ARC CPR certification
