Job Description:Full-time (37.5 hours) salaried Registered Nurse (RN) for a private, not-for-profit school for children with special needs located in Seaford, New York. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work in the field of special education.Job Summary/Requirements:
- Must be an RN with 3 years of experience
- Must be able to oversee the nursing office duties and collaborate with administration as needed
- Must have extensive pediatric experience with: GT buttons/feedings, seizures, and medication administration
- Competent in first aid, diagnosis and treatment of anaphylaxis, seizures, and any other emergencies that may arise
- The RN assesses and monitors all health-related needs of students
- Provide training and guidance to staff members in order to deal with emergency health situations that might arise with students and staff
- OCFS Healthcare consulting for daycare: Provide guidance to daycare program, follow OCFS regulations and healthcare and safety policy. Provide procedures for medication and health needs of children in daycare.
- Fingerprinting and a New York State criminal background check are mandatory
Salary Range (Exempt): $84,000 - $94,000 annuallyBenefits:• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
