Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program with 5 years recent experience in an acute care operating room.
• Orthopedic surgery experience is preferred.
• CNA perioperative nursing certification or equivalent educational background is required.
• Experience in Pre-Op, PACU, and ICU is advantageous.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, organized, and complex work environment.
• Strong collaboration skills within a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and emergency situations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for physicians and nursing staff.
• Collaborate effectively with Pre-Op, Peri-Op, PACU, and MDR team members.
• Ensure patient and employee safety by following strict infection control and medication policies.
• Support and orient new staff during their integration into the facility.
• Maintain compliance with all operational policies and procedures.
• Provide surgical relief in the operating room when required.
• Coordinate usage of OR equipment and ensure necessary supplies are available.
• Oversee daily operational needs and deployment of surgical staff as needed.
• Develop training processes for both new equipment and staff orientation.
• Lead Quality Assurance initiatives in alignment with accreditation standards.
