Full Job Description
Responsibilities

You Will:
  • Performs high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
  • Assures proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
  • Starts intravenous lines or performs straight stick venipuncture for isotope injection.
  • Administers radionuclide in a safe and effective manner.
  • Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Monitors patients' well- being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Maintains a nuclear medicine information system for all patient dosing, calibration, receiving and disposition, and all regulatory reports required by the RAM license.
  • Under the direction of the radiologist, administers radiopharmaceuticals to detect or treat diseases using radioisotopes.
  • Demonstrates a high level of competency and ensures team members are safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Responsible for safeguarding on-site medications following Company policies, procedures, and any legal requirements and ensures employee adherence to on-site medication policies
  • Demonstrates and ensures team members a high level of respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on-site or on patient portals.
  • Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrates high-level respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions, including team members' interactions with one another.

To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have:
  • Must have current ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification.

Pay Range: $64.00-$85.00 Per Hour
