Join Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets Regulatory Interpretations team as a North America Regulatory Reporting Specialist, supporting the accuracy and completeness of derivatives transaction reporting and other regulatory obligations across global markets. Our team partners closely with business and operations functions to provide regulatory guidance, helping drive continuous improvement in processes, controls, regulatory risk management, and compliance culture across our businesses.

In this role, you will be part of a small, collaborative global team that values both individual development and collective expertise. While working across jurisdictions and regions, your initial focus will be on enhancing and supporting reporting obligations under key North American regulatory regimes, including the CFTC, SEC, and Canadian reporting frameworks.

As a subject matter expert in North American transaction reporting requirements, you will apply and further develop your knowledge of regulatory reporting obligations and the diverse range of transactions conducted across our businesses. You will have the opportunity to continually expand your expertise by engaging with new business activities and providing regulatory advice on the application of global reporting requirements and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

This role is particularly well suited to someone currently working in a Legal, Compliance, or Regulatory Advisory capacity who is looking to apply their regulatory and/or derivatives documentation expertise in a practical business environment. It offers significant exposure to a broad range of derivatives products, business activities, and regulatory challenges across global markets.

  • 8+ years of experience interpreting and applying derivatives regulations in a relevant capacity (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting) within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess regulatory reporting requirements across a broad range of products and asset classes, with experience in commodities and/or exchange-traded derivatives (e.g., futures) considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with global teams to assess the application of regulatory requirements to new and existing business activities.
  • Understanding of derivatives documentation, including the ability to interpret and analyze derivative contract terms through trade confirmations, industry definitions, and related legal documentation; experience in this area is advantageous.
  • Proven track record of driving and implementing regulatory change across global organizations, demonstrating high levels of initiative, resilience, and execution excellence.
  • Collaborative and innovative mindset, with strong relationship-building skills, a commitment to integrity, and the ability to foster productive partnerships across business, operations, compliance, and industry stakeholders.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, including developing expertise in global reporting regimes and keeping pace with evolving regulatory requirements and reportable activities.


Salary range for this position: $200,000- $230,000/Yr. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. The successful candidate may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
