Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a Nocturnist Hospitalist Physician to join our team at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News, Virginia.

🔍 About the Role
As a Hospitalist, you will serve as the primary care provider for inpatients, overseeing their medical care from admission through discharge. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, patient-centered care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.
🩺 Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions
- Coordinate with specialists, nurses, and support staff for integrated care
- Monitor patient progress, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and adjust treatment plans
- Communicate clearly with patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Facilitate safe and effective discharge planning and transitions of care

- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Experience in hospital settings and familiarity with inpatient protocols

Education
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Certification(s) and License(s)
Licensed Medical Doctor – State of Virginia
Board Certified or Board Eligible by [name of approved boards]
Current DEA
Qualifications:
Ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care.
Ability to document appropriately and communicate with appropriate parties in a timely manner.
Ability to complete charts in a timely manner.
Experienced in diagnosis and treatment of common medical conditions
Basic working knowledge of managed care and Medicare population
Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
Excellent communication skills
Professional appearance.
