Position SummaryThe
NICU Clinical Manager provides day-to-day operational leadership and ensures the highest standards of patient care, staff engagement, and safety within the NICU and related perinatal services.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee daily NICU operations, staffing, and clinical performance.
- Build and maintain a culture of teamwork, transparency, and accountability.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, and hospital administration to enhance patient care and service delivery.
- Implement and evaluate policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation to meet departmental goals.
- Lead training, mentoring, and staff development programs to promote professional growth.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and survey readiness at all times.
- Partner with HR on recruitment, retention, and diversity initiatives.
Qualifications- Current California RN license required.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of NICU and/or Postpartum clinical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary clinical teams.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a union environment.
- Los Angeles County Fire Card and ARC certification required within 30 days of hire.
