Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies or equivalent
Current PA license in the state of Connecticut
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in surgical settings
Strong knowledge of urology and neurosurgery procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with surgical and medical conditions
Provide first assist in the operating room during surgical procedures
Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans under physician supervision
Manage post-operative care and follow-up for surgical patients
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care

Job Description
This is an immediate need for a Physician Assistant to work in the Surgical Subspecialties at Stamford Hospital. This is a full-time position requiring clinical work and OR First Assist. The PA will assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients presenting with a variety of medical and surgical conditions which range from chronic diseases, acute illnesses, and health care maintenance. Under the direction of or in consultation with a physician, the PA will provide a broad spectrum of general patient care. Patient population includes approximately 95% Urology and Neurosurgery with an occasional Oral and Maxillofacial and ENT patients.
Schedule: 24/7 coverage in-house surgical team! Fulltime - 3 x 12 hour-shifts per week - day/night/weekend rotation. Self-scheduling type model.
