Description:
The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking full-time Neuroradiologists to read evening neuroradiology studies on emergency department patients and inpatients. Position opening is for expansion due to increased volume, and eligible for remote work.
- This evening position rotates 1 week on (7 days, 9-hour shift, 6p-3a) and 2 weeks off (inclusive of recovery, vacation, CME, academic). This equates to 121 clinical shifts per year. 17 weeks of remote clinical evenings per year! Remote from anywhere in the USA except New Jersey, Hawaii, or Alaska. If applicants desire an in-person component, that can be accommodated, but the work can be 100% remote.
- This evening neuroradiologist will focus their clinical care on emergency department and inpatient imaging obtained as part of the Emory Healthcare System and Grady Memorial Hospital. Interpretations will be provided in conjunction with trainees including our team of radiology residents (21 per year) and neuroradiology fellows (10 per year).
- The clinical scope will be 100% neuroradiology, including CT, CTA, and MRI of the brain, head & neck, and spine. If candidates are interested, they will have opportunities to take on additional shifts for additional pay that cover general radiology and other body areas (chest/body), as well as opportunities to work daytime shifts as part of the daytime neuroradiology team.
- Candidates should possess strong clinical skills, function well in evening shifts, and work well in a collaborative environment.
- Candidates will join a vibrant neuroradiology division of more than 30 neuroradiologists, including a total group of more than 10 neuroradiologists who read primarily evening and overnight inpatient and emergency neuroradiology. Candidates should be prepared to participate in both the clinical and non-clinical divisional activities, including education and trainee supervision. There are opportunities for additional extra duty clinical work for additional salary if desired.
- Compensation rates reflect newly updated and enhanced compensation rates effective 9/1/26.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in Neuroradiology.
- Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license.
