What you'll do

Join us at a pivotal stage of growth as we build and scale a next-generation Network Operations Center supporting mission-critical communications. The day-to-day

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing Network Operations Center (NOC) team, providing oversight, mentorship, and direction across all operational shifts to ensure excellence in service delivery
  • Drive the reliability and performance of mission-critical network and cloud infrastructure, ensuring continuous 24/7 service availability and operational resilience
  • Recruit, develop, and elevate top technical talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional growth
  • Champion incident response and operational excellence, leading critical outage resolution efforts, driving root cause analysis initiatives, and governing change management processes to improve system stability
  • Design and optimize scalable operational frameworks, developing processes, procedures, and best practices that enhance efficiency, consistency, and service quality
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering teams, service providers, and technology vendors to deliver exceptional customer outcomes and consistently exceed service-level objectives
  • Build and launch a next-generation operations center from the ground up, shaping staffing strategies, operational workflows, technology platforms, and performance metrics that enable long-term success
  • Drive innovation through AI and automation, identifying, evaluating, and implementing emerging technologies that improve operational effectiveness, accelerate issue resolution, and enhance the overall support experience

What you'll need

  • Proven experience building and leading a team in a network operations, network engineering, or IT operations environment
  • Experience developing operational processes, procedures, and performance standards that drive service excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to lead incident response activities and coordinate efforts during service-impacting events
  • 3+ years' experience in satellite communications (SATCOM) operations or support
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or supervising technical staff, including coaching, training, and performance management
  • Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and external service providers
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, troubleshooting methodologies, and operational best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Validated experience managing or supporting 24/7 operational environments, including shift scheduling, workforce planning, and technician
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire
  • Qualifying certifications include Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, CCNA Security (if applicable), GICSP, or equivalent certifications that satisfy IAT Level II requirements
  • US Government position. US Citizenship required
  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%

Salary range

$144,000.00 - $227,500.00 / annually.For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $179,000.00- $268,000.00/ annually
