The Network Engineer 2 supports enterprise network operations by managing network inventory, tracking and reporting Critical and High vulnerabilities, monitoring SLA compliance, and producing operational metrics and reports. This role collaborates with engineering teams to validate data, ensure reporting accuracy, support audit readiness, and escalate issues requiring attention. The ideal candidate has experience in network operations, strong analytical and reporting skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the stability, compliance, and efficiency of the organization's network environment.
The Network Engineer 2 is responsible for supporting network operations through inventory management, vulnerability tracking, SLA monitoring, and operational reporting. This role works closely with engineering teams to maintain accurate network records, monitor remediation activities, validate data integrity, and escalate issues as needed. The Network Engineer 2 helps ensure audit readiness, compliance with established standards, and effective workload planning while contributing to the overall stability and performance of enterprise network environments.
Required Qualifications- Any Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in the relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network environments
- Experience with network inventory management and documentation
- Experience tracking and reporting Critical and High vulnerabilities
- Experience monitoring remediation activities against defined SLAs
- Strong analytical, reporting, and data validation skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with ServiceNow CMDB or similar inventory management tools
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel reporting
- Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Qualys, Tenable, or Rapid7
- Knowledge of routing, switching, WAN/LAN, firewalls, and network infrastructure
- Experience supporting audit, compliance, or governance activities

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$80,900 - $110,300 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
