Network Engineer for Federal govt role (Valid only for USC/ GC) Location: Annapolis, MD. (Fulltime-Hybrid) 5 years contract Minimum/Required Qualifications: - Associate degree in an Information Technology (IT) related field - Active certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise OR (CCNP) Security Certification Preferred Qualifications: - Ten (10) years of CONUS technical experience in IT networking - Bachelors degree in an Information Technology (IT) related field - The following certifications issued within the last four (4) years: (1) Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Enterprise Infrastructure or Security Certification. (2) Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) Certification. (3) Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) Certification from Palo Alto Networks. Preferred Skills/Experience/Capabilities: - Layer 2 & 3 optimization and boundary virtual switching systems - Scalable routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) - Enterprise Data Center and cloud Networking for Virtualization, SDN, Load Balancing, storage - Zero Trust Network Access and micro-segmentation. High Availability in Enterprise. - Advanced WAN service layers, SDWANs and WAN Optimization applications - Current Network Security Services applications, services, and appliances including, but not limited to: Identity Management / Network Access Control / Application Layer Inspection / Content and Malware Filtering / Data Loss and Intrusion Prevention / Zero-day threats / IPsec and SSL VPN / PKI / Two-Factor Authentication - Enterprise VoIP and physical security environments - access control and video surveillance network applications - Quality-of-Service design and implementation - Network Management Protocols, Applications and Operating System capabilities - Installation and configuration of Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and Palo Alto platforms - Installation, configuration, securing and troubleshooting enterprise wireless access systems. - Produce technical documents (diagrams, design documents, project plans and schedules, and user instructions) as required - Infrastructure Services and IPAM products - IP multicast, Enterprise Video conferencing, streaming and on demand components - Coding languages for scripting - Major server desktop operating systems and utilities
