Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated Network Engineer to join our technology-based program supporting a key Government customer. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to grow their expertise in network security, specifically focusing on Cisco, Palo Alto, and Netscaler firewall devices and their associated management software. We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who is eager to maintain and optimize firewall infrastructure while developing a deeper understanding of enterprise network security principles.
Required Skills and EducationWe are seeking Network Engineers with 3 to 6 years of experience. A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technical discipline is preferred. We are looking for candidates who possess a strong foundation in networking; you do not need to meet every requirement listed below to be considered, as we value a willingness to learn and grow:
- Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions utilizing Cisco, Pala Alto, and Netscaler firewall network devices
- Perform configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of firewall policies and rules
- Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and proactively address vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security standards align with business objectives
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in network security and firewall technologies
- Ability to translate customer requirements into enterprise network solutions
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on firewall technologies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills and Education- Industry certifications such as CCNA Security, CCNP Security, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), or similar industry certifications are preferred
