DESCRIPTION

The Network Architecture & Security Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of White Castle's enterprise network infrastructure. Reporting to the Network Architecture & Security Manager, this position focuses on ensuring the company's network is secure, efficient, scalable, and cost-effective. The analyst serves as a key technical resource, providing guidance on optimizing network performance while maintaining a strong understanding of the organization's specific networking needs and priorities. This role is deeply involved in evaluating and implementing solutions that align functionality with fiscal responsibility, striving to balance operational performance and cost across all networked environments.

  • A minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in network infrastructure security roles is required;
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification is preferred;
  • CCNA - Cisco Certified Network Technician is preferred;
  • Use and understanding of various security and monitoring equipment and tools including, but not limited to, Juniper SSG Router/Firewalls, Juniper Network & Security Manager, Cisco switching devices, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, Cisco Wireless APs, Meraki switching hardware, Meraki Wireless APs, the Meraki Management Portal, SEIM (analysis tools) and PRTG (network monitoring tools);
  • Strong security-focused expertise with the ability to seamlessly integrate cybersecurity principles into network design and day-to-day user operations;
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently;
  • Solid understanding of routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and network protocols;
  • Experience with security tools such as IDS/IPS, NAC, endpoint protection, and vulnerability scanners;
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills;
  • Familiarity with network monitoring platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark, PRTG);
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in team environments;
  • Experience with enterprise wireless networks and endpoint management;
  • Exposure to PCI-DSS, NIST, or other cybersecurity frameworks;
  • Experience supporting multi-site or distributed enterprise environments.


What you will do
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and sounding board for ideas, strategic discussions, and decision making;
  • Provide hands-on support during periods of high-ticket volume, increased project demand, and after-hours operational needs;
  • Assist with project management activities as required to ensure timely execution and alignment with organizational goals;
  • Collaborate with Technology and Regional teams to design and implement LAN, WAN, and security solutions, including cabling, routers, switches, and related infrastructure;
  • Travel to regional and onsite locations as required to support deployments and initiatives;
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic and utilization to validate departmental requirements and identify opportunities to maintain or enhance overall network efficiency;
  • Leverage available tools and technologies to assess the performance of network and security systems. Develop and present recommendations to the team for enhancements, modifications, and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Build interdepartmental relationships to understand their needs;
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and external vendors to investigate and resolve discrepancies or anomalies in telecommunications invoices;
  • Establish and maintain a regular schedule for review and revision of documentation;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
