It's these factors that helped Columbia earn a spot on the Top 100 Best Places to Live list on Livability.com in 2019 as well.. The area is centrally located and offers quick access to St. Louis and Kansas City, and is also just minutes away from a host of historic towns, state parks, major shopping and a downtown area featuring restaurants, entertainment venues and the city's MKT Trail, which has been called one of the best urban trails in the country.
