The Opportunity:CACI is looking for an experienced Navigation Engineer to lead and support Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for the platform-based integration of advanced naval navigation elements. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical navigation field activities and fleet stakeholders to deliver critical capabilities to Ship Construction, New (SCN) platforms.
Responsibilities:- Lead and/or support navigation Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) for platform-based integration of navigation elements consisting of Navigation Field Activities and user stakeholders.
- Assist with review and tracking of GFE delivery schedules of IWS 6N elements for SCN (Ship Construction New) platforms.
- Develop and maintain Functional Interface Diagrams (FID) depicting proposed interface design for the overall Navigation Enclave to include interfaces to external navigation users.
- Support for planning and scheduling of any required Land-Based Test Events (LBTEs) for platform integration.
- Review of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) Technical Data Packages (TDPs), Ship Install Diagrams (SIDS), Inter-Connection Diagrams (ICDs), and Cable Block Diagrams (CBDs)).
Qualifications:
Required: - Active SECRET clearance (or U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain)
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from an accredited institution in an engineering or technical STEM discipline
- 7yrs of experience with US Navy Navigation systems:
- Inertial Navigation Systems (e.g., WSN-7/12)
- Speed Logs (e.g., WSN-9, DEML, DHYSL)
- Electronic Charting Systems
- GPS
- GPNTS/NAVSSI
- ACNS
- NCDS
- Experience with shipboard data networks
- Experience working with NAVSEA program offices, Program Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs) and Ship Acquisition Resource Managers (SHAPMs)
- Experience working with Navy planning yards
- Experience with standard Systems Engineering Processes and System Architecture design
- Familiarity with standard Block Diagrams and interface diagrams (Functional Block Diagrams (FBDs), Functional Interface Diagrams (FIDS), Ship Install Diagrams, Inter-Connection Diagrams (ICDs), and Cable Block Diagrams (CBDs))
- Experience with integration of electronic systems onboard US Navy vessels
- Ability to track and monitor schedules of deliveries for both equipment and support materials (test procedures, tech manuals, training manuals, etc)
- Ability to coordinate an integrated product team across organizations in order to provide a suite of systems to platforms
Desired:- Experience Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes and toolkits. (SysML, Cameo Modeler, etc)
- Familiarity with US Navy Ship combat systems
- Familiarity with standard US Navy system interface protocols (network, serial, and NTDS)
- Familiarity with combat support system integration, test and light off processes/procedures
- Familiarity with multiple US Navy Platforms (CVN, DDG, LPD, LHA, LCS, FFG)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$90,300 - 189,600 USD
