What you will do...- Leads Ohio's Boating Law Administration and manages U.S. Coast Guard grant requirements, reporting, research, and technical support.
- Develops and oversees statewide boating safety programs, policies, education, enforcement priorities, and district coordination.
- Manages the Waterways Safety Council, including meetings, communications, records, and website updates.
- Oversees Marine Patrol, Boating Education, and Equipment Loan grant programs, including applications, funding, training, and reporting.
- Handles public relations, media coordination, stakeholder engagement, interagency meetings, and guidance on boating safety operations.
- Starting hourly pay $40.40/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $57.67/hr.
- There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the E1 Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates Exempt Employees E1 | Department of Administrative Services .

Qualifications60 mos. trg. or 60 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty (i.e., boating law administration) indicated under job duties within approved position description; valid driver's license.
-Or undergraduate major core program & 36 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty (i.e., boating law administration) indicated under job duties within approved position description; valid driver's license.
-Or completion of graduate major core program & 24 mos. exp. in natural resources specialty (i.e., boating law administration) indicated under job duties within approved position description; valid driver's license.
-Or 6 mos. exp. as Natural Resources Administrator 2, 22912, in assigned area (i.e., boating law administration); valid driver's license.
-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
