The National Recruiting Manager role is a unique opportunity to gain deep exposure to the Wealth Management field organization while supporting the National Recruiting team in its efforts to attract and hire Financial Advisors.
This individual will partner closely with Field leadership, Field Management Administration, and various Home Office teams to support Financial Advisor recruiting activity across the organization. The role requires strong business judgment, attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to evaluate recruit profiles, transition risks, and deal economics.
The National Recruiting Manager will play an important role in helping the team drive greater scale, consistency, and success in Financial Advisor recruiting.
Key responsibilities:- Partner with Field leadership to review Financial Advisor recruit opportunities sourced by the manager and develop an in-depth understanding of each candidate's book of business, including production, assets, employment history, business mix, and other relevant profile details.
- Review and assess supporting documentation, including CRD records, DDPs, and other due diligence materials.
- Evaluate recruit profiles to determine appropriate transition deal size and structure based on business opportunity, risk factors, transition complexity, and overall strategic fit.
- Negotiate deal terms and structures for prospective Financial Advisor recruits, in partnership with Field leadership and relevant internal stakeholders.
- Identify and assess known risks related to a recruit's transition, including business, compliance, operational, and documentation considerations, and price transition deals accordingly.
- Prepare contracts and other employment-related agreements and be able to provide clear and detailed explanations to relevant stakeholders.
- Support cross-functional coordination between the National Recruiting team, Field Management, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and other Home Office partners as needed.
- Help improve recruiting processes, documentation standards, and operating efficiency across the National Recruiting function.

- Proven ability to influence and gain alignment across diverse stakeholders while advancing strategic recruiting priorities.
- Strong negotiation skills, with demonstrated experience structuring, positioning, and advancing complex recruiting opportunities.
- Sound business judgment and risk awareness, including the ability to identify key deal considerations, evaluate potential risks, and understand their impact on economics, pricing, approvals, and execution.
- Professional presence, discretion, and sound judgment when handling confidential candidate, advisor, and business information.
- Results-oriented mindset with a track record of driving high-quality execution in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to process discipline, ensuring recruiting activity is managed consistently, accurately, and in accordance with firm standards.
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $115,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
