Job Title: National Account Manager - Financial Services
Location: Remote with significant travel
Division: Revenue
Department: Business Development
Base Salary Range: $190,000 - $200,000Scope of the Job:We are hiring a senior National Account Manager (NAM) to own and grow our most strategic Financial Services accounts - global banks, asset managers, insurers, exchanges, and capital-markets firms. This is a high-impact, quota-carrying role for a seasoned enterprise seller who has spent a career opening doors at the largest global financial institutions and translating complex, emerging technology into board-level business value.
You will operate at the intersection of frontier technology and mission-critical finance, selling a portfolio that includes both advanced software/subscription offerings and enterprise-grade quantum and photonic hardware. Success in this role requires equal fluency in the language of the trading floor, the risk committee, and the data center - and the credibility to earn multi-year commitments from CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, Heads of Quant, and procurement at Tier-1 financial firms.
Duties / Responsibilities:- Own strategic finance accounts. Take full ownership of a portfolio of named, large global financial-services accounts - building and executing account plans that grow QCI's footprint, revenue, and multi-year commitments.
- Sell the full portfolio. Position and close both software/subscription solutions and enterprise-wide hardware deployments, constructing solutions that combine quantum optimization, photonic ML, and quantum-secure offerings to the client's business problem.
- Engage the C-suite. Develop and sustain executive relationships across technology, risk, quant, security, and procurement functions, and serve as the trusted advisor who connects QCI capabilities to measurable financial and operational outcomes.
- Lead complex, long-cycle deals. Orchestrate multi-stakeholder, multi-quarter enterprise sales cycles - navigating proofs of concept, technical evaluations, security and vendor-risk reviews, legal, and procurement - from qualification through signature.
- Quarterback the deal team. Marshal solutions engineers, product, research, legal, and executive sponsors to advance opportunities, tailoring the message to each stakeholder without losing the through-line to business value.
- Build durable pipeline. Prospect and develop new opportunities within existing global accounts while maintaining a rigorous, accurately-forecasted pipeline in the CRM.
- Own the number. Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets, and provide clear, disciplined forecasting to leadership.
- Be the voice of the market. Bring competitive intelligence and client requirements back to product and research teams to shape QCI's finance-sector roadmap.
- Negotiate enterprise agreements. Structure and close complex commercial agreements - subscriptions, licenses, hardware purchases, and multi-year enterprise contracts - that balance client value with QCI's growth objectives.
Required Skills & Experience:- 10+ years of enterprise sales experience selling into large, global financial-services organizations (Tier-1/Tier-2 banks, asset managers, insurers, exchanges, or capital-markets firms).
- Proven experience selling either enterprise software (or SaaS/subscription solutions) AND enterprise-wide hardware into large global finance organizations - with a demonstrable track record of closing deals in each category.
- Consistent, quantifiable overachievement against large enterprise quotas, including complex six- and seven-figure (or larger) transactions.
- Deep executive network and access within global financial institutions, and a demonstrated ability to open and expand relationships at the C-suite and senior-VP level.
- Command of long, complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, formal procurement, security/vendor-risk assessment, and technical evaluation.
- Business-value selling. The ability to translate advanced, technically sophisticated products into clear ROI and outcomes that resonate with finance executives.
- Rigorous pipeline and forecast discipline, with fluency in a modern CRM and a recognized sales methodology (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger, Miller Heiman, or similar).
- Willingness to travel as needed to client sites across major global financial centers.
Additional Preferred Skills:- Domain knowledge of finance workflows such as portfolio optimization, risk analytics, fraud detection, high-performance/low-latency computing, or post-quantum / cryptographic security.
- Experience selling emerging or frontier technology - quantum computing, AI/ML hardware, HPC, advanced networking, or specialized silicon - into conservative, highly-regulated buyers.
- Familiarity with financial-services regulatory and security requirements (e.g., model risk, data governance, third-party/vendor risk, resilience).
- Established relationships within quant, risk, or CISO organizations at global financial institutions.
- Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering, or quantitative field; advanced degree a plus.
What Success Looks Like: Within your first year you will have mapped and prioritized your named accounts, established or deepened executive relationships across each, built a qualified multi-product pipeline, and closed foundational deals that position QCI as a strategic technology partner - not a science project - inside the world's leading financial institutions.
Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission, equity participation, and a comprehensive benefits package. [Insert specific base/OTE range, equity, and benefits details per current compensation bands.]
