Multifamily Head of Portfolio (Portfolio Manager) - Boston, MAAbout the RoleReporting to the Regional Portfolio Manager, the Portfolio Manager - Multifamily is responsible for the strategic, financial, and operational performance of a designated multifamily portfolio. This role drives portfolio profitability, client satisfaction, occupancy performance, and team execution while ensuring legal, maintenance, and safety compliance. The position provides leadership to POD team members and owns owner relationships, reporting, and strategic planning.
Note: Several properties within this portfolio are LIHTC/Affordable housing communities. Experience with LIHTC or other Affordable housing programs is preferred.
Job DescriptionThe Multifamily Head of Portfolio is accountable for the performance of their portfolio and leading their team members within their portfolio to ensure an excellent experience for clients and residents. Portfolio members primarily include Resident Services Manager (Income and Expense Specializations), a Property Coordinator, and cross-functional management of the accounting, maintenance, and site staff assigned to their portfolio.
Key Accountabilities Include:- Strategic ownership and planning for the portfolio as measured by the scheduling and ownership of regularly recurring planning meetings with clients
- The financial performance of the portfolio as measured by variance of budget vs. actual NOI
- Client (Board of Trustees) communication and satisfaction
- Risk management of their portfolio
- Oversight of management of the physical buildings within their portfolio
- Compliance oversight for LIHTC/Affordable housing units within the portfolio, where applicable
