Job Title: MRO Engineer - Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO)

Job Location: Aiken, SC

Working Pattern: Full Time - (4) 10-hour shifts Monday-Thursday

What you will be doing:

With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to:
  • Develop and maintain MRO component and engine specifications, ensuring the adoption of the most technically efficient, modern, flexible, and cost-effective methods.
  • Define and uphold technical requirements for component repair processes, ensuring compliance across the component repair network.
  • Ensure that all required Maintenance, Operational, and Overhaul technical data aligns with the company's regulatory standards, contractual obligations, and customer commitments.
  • Support product quality assessments, such as First Article Inspections (FAI) and Last Article Inspections (LAI), at manufacturing and overhaul facilities, including the approval of repair suppliers via Verification Production Method (GP EP3.2.4).
  • Analyze product service deterioration, gathering insights from maintenance and repair facilities to inform the product maturity strategy and identify lifecycle cost optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, MRO Bases, Workshops, Service Operations, Planning & Purchasing, Design teams, and other stakeholders to support remanufacturing and overhaul workshops, while identifying and driving improvements.
  • Ensure technical solutions meet agreed requirements, including restoring service-run components to a fully functioning condition.
  • Support the establishment and approval of new repair and overhaul capabilities.


Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering and 3 years of engineering experience in the design, manufacture, assembly, or testing of internal combustion engines; OR
  • 7 years of engineering experience in the design, manufacture, assembly, or testing of internal combustion engines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of design, development, test engineering, and assembly operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex challenges effectively.
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, and materials.
  • Effective presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo, or similar design and drafting software.
  • Proficiency in PC applications and the MS Office Suite, along with knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and techniques for optimizing manufacturing efficiency.
  • Practical experience working with MTU diesel engines.
